The federation
FIABCI brings together professionals from more than forty disciplines of the built environment — developers, brokers, valuers, architects, lawyers, financiers and public institutions. In 1971 the federation obtained Roster status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and Special consultative status in 1996, giving the industry a formal voice in global policy on sustainable development.

The FIABCI Certified Global Real Estate Professional programme accredits practitioners to an international standard of competence and conduct. Registration is open for the 2026–2027 cohort.

India’s real estate market is one of the fastest-growing in the world and is expected to remain a major contributor to the country’s economy over the next decade.
Growth is being driven by urbanisation, rising incomes, infrastructure development, government initiatives, and increasing demand from both end-users and investors. India is also a global hub for IT and Global Capability Centres, creating sustained demand for Grade A office spaces.
Residential demand is expected to remain strong, commercial leasing should continue to benefit from global businesses expanding in India, and infrastructure-led development is likely to unlock new growth corridors. Cities with strong employment opportunities and improving connectivity are expected to see the highest appreciation in property values over the coming years.
The long-term outlook for India’s real estate sector is positive, with increased transparency due to the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act.
